English pianist, actress, librettist, scriptwriter, singer and composer, born in London, September 7, 1923; died also in London, March 26, 1977. She won a scholarship to the junior department of the Royal college od Music at the age of ten and a second college scholarship allowed her to study composition under Hebert Howell and Vaughan Williams. She was known as an actress, singer and pianist. She married Orger Lord, principal oboist of the London Symphony Orchestra.
